Sometimes you just have to spoil yourself on a Friday and make French Toast!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup almond milk
1 egg
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon all spice (or cinnamon, I just prefer all spice)
A dash of salt
4 slices day old French bread
Butter (I use a canola butter)
Grade A Maple syrup
Powdered sugar (optional)
Whisk together the milk, egg, honey vanilla, all spice and salt. Pour into a shallow dish and soak the bread, about 15 seconds each side. Heat butter in frying pan over high heat. Transfer bread to pan and cook about 3-4 min each side. Top with powdered sugar and syrup.
